Hello Trisul users,
A new build of Trisul Network Analytics is now available on http://trisul.org/download
Apart from nifty UI updates , this release features a new Machine Learning Algorithm for calculating threshold bands for metrics. This release also introduces a new messaging backplane for LUA plugins to communicate and share state with each other.
RELEASE NOTES
Trisul Probe
- New messaging infra, your frontend LUA scripts can now communicate to each other using post_message_frontend(..)
- Added a new FTP File extraction LUA script that demonstrates the new comms backplane
- Changes to TCP Reassembly expiration, a bit more aggressive saves 10 to 15% memory
- AF_PACKET on idle networks, bug fix: When empty block is closed and passed to Trisul, we were not setting the flag to TP_STATUS_KERNEL, hence it continued to be in TP_STATUS_USER and that caused the Input Filter to spin and caused high CPU usage on idle networks.
- Bug fix LUA API : onmessage(..) on reassembly and fileextract scripts could cause LUAJIT error.
Web Trisul
- Geo MAP: Since Google now requires API key, users will have to generate their own key and enter it in "App Settings' to enable the Geo Map.
- View Training Data : Threshold Band Menu changed to view threshold band training data on particular day.
- From Threshold Band screen contextual pivot to Key dashboard Edit/Set label button added.
- Better labels : Show/Hide form text changed to Show/Hide Search form
- Threshold band data calc logic has been changed. A new outlier detection is in use that seems much better from feedback received from our production customers.
- UI Update : Long term traffic charts now via ajax. You can stop the update at any time.
- Fixed to show logo in login screen.
